Lead Courier

Foster and develop the growth of the courier infrastructure while enhancing the member experience and customer service provided by the material services team. Maintain the maintenance of the fleet. Provide administrative support to the Courier team, Dispatcher, and Management. Serve as a liaison for material services to both internal and external business partners.
Essential Responsibilities:
Four (4) years of work experience of which three (3) years in a courier, dispatch, or logistics related position.
- - High School graduation or equivalent.
- Driver's License (Colorado)
- - Ability to coordinate and direct the activities of courier personnel
- - Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- - Strong personal computer skills to include data entry, word processing, spreadsheet construction and maintenance, relational database applications, and calendaring/scheduling and email applications.
- - Typing speed of 30wpm. Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
- - Basic knowledge of automotive mechanics including general maintenance
- - Knowledge of regional hospitals and Kaiser Permanente business partners
- - Must be able to lift and carry materials that weigh up to 50 pounds throughout the day
- - Must be able to work varied evenings, days, weekends, and holidays as assigned per operational requirements
- - Must be able to perform all courier duties in all weather conditions as assigned per operational requirements.
- - Dispatch experience or Knowledge of a Computerized Logistics Management Systems (CLMS)
- - Dispatch and route optimization experience
- - Advanced customer service skills, customer focus abilities and the ability to understand health care requirements
- - Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- - Advanced Smartphone utilization skills - iPhone and IOS
- - Employee assignment and workforce scheduling experience
- - High level knowledge of metro area streets and highway systems and traffic
