Graduate Nurse; Maui Health
- Contributes to ongoing patient data collection and documentation; identifies changes in patient status and reports changes to preceptor; implements patient care plans under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Care delivery demonstrate knowledge and ability to apply the nursing process.
- Performs nursing task as delegated by a registered requiring nursing knowledge, under the immediate supervision of a preceptor or supervising nurse.
- Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers.
- Demonstrates technical competence in basic nursing skills and use of basic patient care equipment.
- Records data and nursing care activities in the medical record consistent with department and regulatory standards.
- Supports nursing care by providing related services such as clerical support and patient transportation.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and application of infection control principles and standards, including patient, environment and employee situations.
- Reports incidents, work related injuries, unsafe equipment or environment to management or other appropriate staff.
- Reports pertinent patient data and changes in patients condition to licensed nursing staff, charge nurse or supervisor.
- Participates as directed during emergency situations.
- Incorporates MHS organization Values throughout their care delivery.
- Performs administrative and other duties and accepts responsibility as assigned.

- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing by date of hire.
- Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) within 3 months of hire OR National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse within 3 months of hire
- Basic Life Support within 1 months of hire from American Heart Association
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, change management, decision making, detail oriented, customer service,
- influence, interpersonal relations, oral communication, prioritization, problem solving, quality management, results orientation, system thinking, teamwork, time management, written communication competencies.
- NCLEX Authorization to Test (ATT) issued by the National Council of State Board of Nursing (NCSBN) by date of hire.
- If candidate is not a Registered Nurse in Hawaii (HI-RN), must provide proof of a submitted application for Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Hawaii within three (3) months from date of hire.
- Experience working with electronic medical records.
- Coursework in basic EKG.
