Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, provides an environmentally clean surgical area in accordance to KP standards and regulatory requirements; assists with the transportation and positioning of patients within specific Operating Room guidelines. Responsible for the storage and movement of supplies and equipment within the surgery department.

Essential Responsibilities:

Maintains a clean and safe physical environment for patients and staff.

Responsible for between case cleaning, terminal cleaning and assisting with room turnovers.

Assists in transporting and/or positioning of patients.

Executes proper use, care and handling of equipment and supplies.

Transports supplies and specimens to the operating rooms, sterile processing department, laboratory, Pathology, and x-ray departments as required.

Maintains appropriate stock levels in assigned areas.

Maintains effective relationships with co-workers, staff, and physicians while adhering to the Perioperative Services Policies and Procedures.

Performs other related duties as directed.

Rotating Shift. Primarily 9-530 pm but will cover 6-230pm shift and 11-730 pm shift when needed.
